Spring Music Festival 2026

The Star Valley Federation of Music Clubs is excited to announce its Spring Solo Music Festival, to be held Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Thayne Community Center.
As part of the National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC), our mission is to celebrate American music and provide meaningful educational opportunities. Music students in piano, strings, and voice are invited to register to perform two memorized selections for a professional adjudicator. Each student will receive encouraging written feedback, a performance rating, and brief instruction in a small-group setting. Students who are NFMC members also earn official points that accumulate toward individual trophies.
Participants will also have an opportunity to take the NFMC theory test (Levels 1-12) while at the music festival for an additional fee. Practice tests can be found by searching “NMFC practice theory tests.”
All participants will also be considered to perform in an Honors Recital at the Ford Theatre on Monday, April 13, 2026 at 7PM, where modest cash awards will be presented.
Original scores must be presented to the adjudicator at the time of performance; photocopies are not permitted. String and vocal participants will be responsible for providing their own accompanist. The registration fee is $20 with an additional $10 fee if taking the theory test. Registration and payment are due by March 15, 2026. (Please note: If your student’s teacher is already a member of NFMC, the teacher will complete the Spring Music Festival registration on the student’s behalf. Do not use this form in that case.)
The Spring Music Festival is not a competition. Instead, it is designed to be a positive, educational experience that offers valuable feedback from a qualified musician on technique, musicality, and overall performance skills.
