Storage Shed Mural Project

1. Project Overview

The Town of Thayne is seeking an artist to design and paint a mural that transforms the Community Center's storage shed into a public work of art.

Rather than treating each side as a separate mural, artists should create one cohesive design that wraps around all four sides of the shed.

2. Site & Concept

  • Location: Storage shed by Thayne Community Center - located by tennis court - photo below

  • Approximate size: 9' tall. Footprint below.

  • Project: ENTIRE exterior of storage shed.

The selected artist will be responsible for creating an original design for the entire shed. Applications must include renderings showing each side of the structure and how the overall design connects to create one unified mural.

The Town has exterior paint available for use if the colors fit the design. The artist will be responsible for purchasing any additional paint, materials, and supplies needed to complete the project.

Because the shed is located near the existing Community Center mural, preference will be given to designs that complement the style and color palette of the current artwork while offering a unique artistic vision.
